High Performance Brakes For Aircraft | Heavy alloy brake discs were previously used for military and commercial aerospace industries. As there was growth in transport capacity and armed ability, weight reduction of aircraft was required. Additionally, high temperature braking performance of overloaded aircraft was required for a short and fast landing. As a result, Carbon-Carbon Brake Discs have been applied to a majority of the aerospace industry in recent years DACC Carbon Aircraft Brake Discs are applied to several ROKAF(Republic of Korea Air Force) fighters. High Performance Brakes For Automobiles | Currently Carbon-Carbon Brake Discs are used in Formula 1 racing, which requires highly efficient braking performance. However, Carbon-Carbon Brake Discs don't have enough coefficient of friction under low temperatures and wet conditions. To overcome these performance issues, Carbon- Ceramic (C/SiC) Brake Discs are being used for racing cars since the year 2000.
